IKA Laboratory Reactors

IKA analytical instruments are widely used in many laboratories worldwide. The IKA laboratory reactor system is an efficient apparatus for the production of formulae, scale up tests or small – scale productions for the emulsifying and homogenizing of ointments, creams, body lotion, sun lotions shampoos, shaving creams and similar pharmaceutical and cosmetic products.

Dispersing of dispersion colours, carbon or aerosil compounds, cleansing and polishing agents. Dispersing and grinding of solids in liquid phase for a grain size reduction of pigments and printing inks, primers, topcoats, ballpoint pen inks etc.

IKA AOD 1 Decomposition system

The AOD 1 is used for oxidative decomposition of solid and liquid organic samples under pressure in a closed system.
The system consists of:
AOD 1.1 Decomposition vessel, C 48 Oxygen station, AOD 1.2 External ignition unit, AOD 1.11 Control standard (50 ml)
- Quantitative decomposition of all halogens, sulfur, as well as volatile metals, e.g. As and Hg
- Absorption of the combustion products in an aqueous medium
- Catalytic support of the oxidation process with auto-regenerating catalytic surfaces
- Pressure vessel of high-grade stainless steel
- Decomposition temperature up to 1200 °C
- Max. operating pressure during decomposition 195 bar
- Decomposition time < 3 min
- The decomposition vessel can be changed over to use combustible crucibles C 14
- Control standards for Cl, S ( AOD 1.11) , F and Br ( AOD 1.12 accessory )
- Introduction of the combustion gases into the absorption solution via venting station C 7030

IKA BOMB CALORIMETER

IKA® calorimeter C 5000 control is the only calorimeter in the world that offers a free selection of 3 working methods:

Thus it is possible to perform determinations of gross calorific values of liquid and solid samples in
adiabatic (approx. 14 - 18 min), isoperibolic (approx. 22 min) and dynamic (reduced time: approx.
10 min) mode. A high level of automation in addition to an extensive range of accessories leave
nothing more to wish for.
- Automatic water handling system includes tempering, filling and emptying of calorimeter inner vessel
- Automatic oxygen filling and degassing of the decomposition vessel
- Automatic decomposition vessel identification

IKA C 2000 basic is a combustion calorimeter for determining gross calorific values of liquid and solid samples. A high level of automation with extremely simple handling characterizes this instrument. In addition to the isoperibolic measurement procedure (static jacket), a dynamic (reduced-time) working method is also available. To provide the calorimeter with cooling water, it needs to be connected to a thermostat IKA KV 600 ( accessory) or a firmly installed water connection. The C 2000 basic is equipped with a very convenient console to operate the unit.

“SBS” Universal Reactor

It is composed by: A stainless steel housing, provided with a few rectangular holes (windows), to allow to insert the modular accessories, fixed by 4 screws. A reactor-cover fixing clamp, with vertical adjustment, to allow handling the reactor, according to their kind and height. A supporting ring to place round bottom reactors. Clamps to fix 3x250cc 1x50cc reagents flasks, 4 on each side. Several screwed holes and Ø4 female pins, strategically distributed, to allow inserting accessories. 3 telescopic Ø10 bar supports "U" shaped, one on the left, one on the right and the other one on the top, to allow to fix clamps, nuts and accessories.
A heating magnetic stirrer. an air compressor with regulation valve, moisture separator filter, and a manometer. A vacuum pump with regulation valve, separation flask and a gauge. 16 inputs for probes and devices, and a USB output port. 20 switches to control 20 accessories. A stainless steel Ø6x200mm PT100 probe. A set of fluids inlets and outlets. A microprocessor "Central Control Unit", with a big screen color plasma, membrane keys to control the speed, temperature, time, and hours counter; provided with 6 cyclical timers. The speed and temperature regulation, can be applied to the magnetic stirrer or to any other stirring and heating devices.
Identification system of the plugged accessory displayed on the screen by an icon, the type of device and where it is plugged. All the functions can be effectuated by manually, by a microprocessor IR control of 50 steps, or through a PC (Accessories).

Modular reactor completely configurable by the own user. There is available a very big quantity of accessories to do many combinations to allow to realize the maximum of chemical processes & reactions in the following main fields:
